I hold over twelve years experience as an IT specialist in many different roles and sectors. This has involved the implementation of business technology solutions including website development, database development, e-commerce in retail, content publishing and portals, multi-channel Customer Relationship Management and interactive digital TV.
I have good communication skills and have demonstrated my capability to work closely with clients on all phases of the development life cycle. I have had exposure to team leading and management in different roles and my ability to discuss issues in a non-technical way has allowed me to bridge the divide between technical staff and the client.
From a technology perspective, I have experience in server-side web application technology development. This includes scripting technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, Java and JSP pages. My strengths also include Relational Database technologies including Informix, MySQL and SQL Server.
I set up my company in July 2006 to provide website and database development as well as IT support and training, because I believe that my skills as listed above make me unique and I really want to make a difference inspiring people to make the best use out of technology and not be frightened of the technical jargon that surrounds it.
