• Provided assistance and support, maintained and enhanced the PFS legacy sponsorship finance system.
• Designed and wrote automatic posting modules for the legacy system to specifications provided by various national offices. Conformed to OO architecture.
• Enhanced the architecture of the legacy system by refactoring to an object-orientated model. Re-wrote core parts of the application.
• Tested changes and bug fixes made in the Plansys legacy system.
• Evaluated and corrected Plansys legacy system data according to the data migration rules and referential integrity required by the new Plansys2 system.
• Designed, wrote and deployed Migration Data Integrity Checker (written from scratch in C# .NET 2.0) which scanned the legacy system data and reported on data validity and referential integrity based on a mapping document for the new system. Data connections to Advantage Database and SQL Server 2005.
• Wrote a tool for fixing financial data which did not comply with defined Business Rules in the new system.
