ARC Technologies provides IT solutions in the recruitment sector to recruitment agencies and job seekers.
I worked on a number of projects. One of which being a C# 2.0 Win forms application with heavy use of web services, XML, threads and Regular Expressions. The application allowed recruitment agencies to search CVs or candidates across several job boards such as Monster, Jobserve and Reed for example by entering a search criteria. I used Sql 2005 for back end processing and Microsft Access on the client side.

I also developed in VB.NET and C#.NET for live Jobmate system which allowed recruiters to enter job details on once and post the job to several job boards and the click of a single button. Other responsibilites and work carried out are listed below:

Point Four Media is a Media and Advertising Sector for food Wholesalers. They aslo sold tills to stores and had another IT department to work on this. My work was with the media team.
I was invovled in the development of web reports in C#.net 2.0 with heavy use of CSS, HTML, ASP.Net, ADO.Net and DevExpress components. The reports where used by wholesalers and advertisers to give them an overview of what products were selling, what adverts are playing in stores and how has this influenced the sale of products and much more.

I was also responsible for the development of C# windows application for real time system to manage the playing of advertisements on advertising screens located in stores. This was a very critical system. Once live there was no room for any mistakes. This was a project which I had to carryout individually.

I also developed a C#.NET/ Asp.NET web application for management of sales and orders for tills and screens

All projects required the following:
· Microsoft Sql(2005) views and stored procedures
· an iterative development process using Agile and Scrum methodologies

Experian is a credit reporting organistion. An initial two month contract which was extended to four months.

I worked on existing interactive ASP.NET sites that were using VB.NET, C# and Javascript. Object Oriented Programming techniques were used to add new features to existing site. Daily work consisted working on the live website, providing support, bug fixing and enhancements. I put forward new ideas and some of which were implemented.

I had to carry out a number of unit tests. An iterative life cycle using Agile methods.

MS SQL 2005 was used. I had to write and test stored procedures. In some cases I had to add a few new tables to the database.
