Responsible for key analysis and development deliveries for a number of projects at TPF (part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group). All projects based on J2EE technology deployed on a WebSphere platform:
Business analysis and functional specification for new application to manage order planning and distribution of TPF marketing materials in Tesco superstores throughout the UK.
Responsible for developing and implementing enhancements to on-line loans application system, to improve usability, provide new features for customers, and increase sales.
Cross selling – a major enhancement to the existing TPF website to deliver targeted promotional messages as part of the page content delivered to specific individual website users. Responsible for initial analysis (working closely with TPF business staff) and delivery of the functional specification that acted as the main reference document for a year-long project that was successfully delivered on time and to budget. Also responsible for developing application code for one of the key components of the system.
DDA project – major project to completely overhaul the TPF website to comply with Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements. Personal responsibilities included re-engineering the on-line Loans application process to satisfy DDA requirements and defining a generic compliance test used to validate the entire website against DDA standards. Test data preparation and system testing work in latter stages of project.
TOLB migration – analysis, design and development of application code used to migrate customers between old and new on-line banking applications.
CRM replacement – project to replace an existing call centre customer support tool with a J2EE web application. Responsible for business analysis, functional specification documentation and producing prototype application screens that formed part of the finished system.
