As a registered contractor your skills, experience, qualifications and availability are made available for agencies and companies to search, but your contact details are not shown to protect your identity. Initial contact is always made via this site and when you are contacted concerning an assignment, your name and e-mail address will be passed to the agency/company ONLY if you respond stating a positive interest in the assignment.
You are then free to enter into discussions with those who have short-listed you for an assignment. Once two-way contact is made through the site you are free to negotiate interviews, rates and contract terms yourselves without involvement of Contractor Index, and without any payments to us.
Even if you are currently in a contract, you can sign up today and set your availability to a suitable future date. This will ensure that your details are listed in the Directory, and will put you in a stronger position when it comes to finding your next assignment.
